Debre Tabor University (DTU) and World Trade Investment Network has signed memorandum of Understanding to work together.
The MOU is signed by Dr. Angagregn Gashaw, president of DTU on behalf of DTU and Mr. Tewodros Afrisun country director of WTIN on behalf of WTIN.
Mrs. Firehiwot Getachew, Operational Manager and representative of WTIN made brief discussions on the profile of WTIN, their selection criteria, the advantage of the partnership for both parties, the registration requirements with WTIN and duration of the partnership for the concerned university management.She mentioned that DTU is among the 22 best universities in the country which are selected based on multiple specified criteria. According to the operational manager, the duration of the partnership will be extended based on the performance evaluation of the university stated in the MOU.
According to the operational manager the partnership will provide opportunity to have academic network with around 11,000 universities across the globe, support to scale up the academic rank of the university, interface scholarship opportunity for top ranked students of the university through networking, ease access for purchase of laboratory equipments at about 20% of discount rate.
Dr. Anegagregn , the president and the concerned management members of DTU acknowledged WTIN for the chance in providing this opportunity and stated that the university will exert utmost effort to use the partnership effectively and efficiently.
Subsequently, the program was ended up with discussion based visit of Main Library, sample laboratory of College of Health Sciences, and Sample, Laboratory of Faculty of Technology at DTU.
