Debre Tabor University (DTU) and Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GSCAAS) have signed memorandum of understanding to work together on November 23, 2018. The MOU is signed by Dr. Anegagregn Gashaw President of DTU as a witness of Dr. Menberu Teshome Vice president for Research and Community Service of DTU on behalf of DTU and Prof. Wang Chunxia Vice President of GSCAAS as a witness of Prof. Wang Xunqing, Director for International Education office of GSCAAS on behalf of GSCAAS.
Prof. Wang Xunqing, Director for International Education office of GSCAAS made descriptive and brief discussion and presentations of the profile and the 60 years’ experience of GSCAAS. According to the Director, CAAS played a great role on agricultural technology adaptations that ensured food security china. Dr. Anegargergn Gashaw and Dr. Menberu Teshome made brief discussions on the profile of DTU. According to their discussion, thought DTU is very young; it made great achievements in the past six years.
The MOU agreement between the two parties aimed at student and staff exchange, experience sharing regarding Leadership and Management as well as Community Services and workshops. It will facilitate the development of mutual benefit of the two parties.
According to their consent, the duration of the MOU will be for five years which will come into effect since the date of agreement is signed. However, the duration can be extended based on mutual consent of both parties. Subsequently, the program was ended up with discussions and cultural memorial gifts from both parties.
