DTU conducted the 4th round graduation commencement of 2016/17 academic year on July 15/2017

This colorfully orchestrated event was attended by her excellence   Belaynesh Zebadia Israel Ambassador in Ethiopia,  Dr. Hirut Kassw  Head of Amhara  Regional State Truism Bureau  and board chairperson of the university, parents, invited guests and the University community.

A total of 2663  /male 1565 / female 1069/ students were graduated from  faculty of Technology, College of Health Sciences, Faculty of  Natural and Computational Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanity, Faculty of Agriculture and, Faculty of Business and Economics.


Dr Alemayehu Kebede, president of DTU.  Highlighted that DTU has been making  utmost  efforts to maintain  and assure quality of education ; this is what our country main problem;  to assure our changes 78%  of last year graduates were employed in different private, governmental and nongovernmental organizations within 6 months. To achieve quality education DTU has established Guna Tana Integrated Field Research and Development center to align theory with practice and. Finally he wished the graduates a bright and successful future.


Her Excellency Ambassador Belaynesh Zebadia Guest of Honor delivered a commencement speech to the Graduates in her message she reminded to the graduates about their expected   role as of the graduation day and emphasized on the importance of the unreserved contributions they should make to the development and transformation of the country.

Dr.  Hirut Kassw, Head of Amhar Regional state truism Bureau and board chairperson of the university in her speech acknowledge all the university societies for their commitment to students’ skill, knowledge and altitude fitness. And finally she advices graduates by stating graduation is not an end goal in itself; instead it is a part of the longer journey of life.

At the subsequent stages the director of the registrar Mr.  Habtie Alemnew and Faculty Deans presented the graduates in their respective Colleges and outstanding students from each program have also awarded from the guests of honor Mr. Fenta Dejen and Ambassador Belaynesh Zebodia.

The Ceremony ended with awarding degrees, gold medals to the outstanding graduates and CUP for campus’s best.
